Gabriel "Gabby" will be missed
On Monday, October 19th, 2020 at 12:01pm, Gabriel suddenly and unexpectedly passed away. He had shoulder surgery a few weeks prior and had multiple complications over the past few weeks. Monday morning when he woke, he didn't feel like himself and was taken by ambulance to the hospital where he unexpectedly passed away.
Gabriel aka “Gabby” was born September 25th 1957 in Miami after his parents had moved from Cuba to the US. At a young age they moved to NY where he was raised in Oceanside.
Gabby had a long time career in the trucking and large equipment industry taking him all over the US. He settled back in Florida.
His passion was riding motorcycles, the freedom of the road and the wind in his hair was what healed his soul, along with gathering with his brothers, sisters and his wife Monica.
If Gabby liked you ... you knew it. He was a BIG STRONG man with a heart as big as he was. He showed TRUE LOVE and RESPECT for those that cared about him and his family.
He will be loved and missed forever by Monica and all that loved him and were loved by him.
We at Kristina Conn Foundation (KCF) are asking our community to come together and help Gabriel's family pay for his final arrangements and give them time to plan the coming days without him. Your donations are tax deductible (verify with your tax preparer) and 100% of the funds raised through this website will go directly to his wife Monica.
We ask you to please keep his family and close friends in your thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.
Help us, help Gabriel's family as they navigate through this journey without him.
SIGN UP - to take Gabriel's family a meal
THANK YOU for being willing to help Gabriel's family with meals during this time!!!
Click HERE to sign up to take them a meal.
This link will provide you with all the information needed to ensure the family will not have to worry about food.
You will be able to select the date you would like to sign up for, enter your name, email address and phone number along with what food you plan to bring or send them. If you are “sending" a meal, you can either order something through "Take Them A Meal" and have it delivered or you can contact a local restaurant (or any place that will delivered prepared foods) and have something delivered to them.
It is very important to enter the meal you plan to bring/send, so the family does not end up with repetitive meals day after day.
Please read through the "NOTE" section for special details and instructions. This section will list any allergies and food items that should be avoided (if applicable). It will also have delivery times and instructions requested by the family. Please do your best to adhere to deliver times however, if you do need to make other arrangements for delivery, please follow the instruction given. The family hopes you understand they truly appreciate your generosity and meal delivery, however, staying to visit at this time is just not an option for now.
1. Consider sending your meals in disposable containers. We don't want the family to have to keep track of your pans and bowls etc. It also means the family will have less dishes :)
2. Consider sending enough beverages to go with your meal.
3. Consider sending enough disposable plates & plastic ware for your meal.
The goal is to fill in every date, at least as many as possible so the family can mend their hearts
